The Prodigal Sons 3rd album is a double CD released by N*Soul Records in April, 1996. "FAST and (a...LIVE)" features a full length album of all new material. The second CD gives one the opportunity (impossible for many!) to hear live segments of their concerts.

This new Prodigal Sons record, Reignite, has been two years in the making and
captures the essence of the Prodigal Sons techno sound. Classic P-sons with a
groovier feel than traditional techno. Reignite definitely brings back to the roots of the underground sound with 130 beats per minute as an average.

Launching the album at Tom Fest 2000, DC/LA 2000 and Cornerstone Festival 2000 with their first appearances in 2 years has definitely created the excitement throughout the US for the fans waiting to buy this record.

Members of the band, JR Barbee, and Greg Hobgood have been very busy outside of
music. JR is a youth pastor at a cutting edge church in Los Angeles, Oasis, which has been reaching out to kids. He is known for hosting after hours dance parties which bring in hundreds of people into an environment where they can meet new friends and find some direction. JR is also a key member of the west coast Nitro Praise team which tours regularly. Greg has been promoted to music buyer to one of the biggest Family Music stores in the country and is well learned in the trends of the CBA Music market.
